My newest venture Jewelry Making - PTI Style

Well about a month ago I started making Pandora Style bracelets... let me say this in layman terms so that I don't mislead people, these bracelets are NOT real Pandora bracelets.  They look and have the weight of Pandora bracelets BUT they are at a much lower cost.  They are beautiful, and I'll post a pic of those in a second.  I sell these for $50.00 each complete.  Then in February I decided to add Glass Tile Pendants and Keychains to my jewelry line.  Each pendant is sold on a Organza Ribbon Necklace or Satin Rattail Cord. It wasn't until the Papertrey monthly reveal/Anniversary Celebration that I decided to incorporate Papertrey Ink's products (patterned paper, stamps and inks on White) into my pendant designs.  Here's some photos of my bracelets as well as photos of Pendants using stamps and ink, and pendants using the Patterned paper. I hand make all the necklaces too (I try to match the ribbon as close to the PTI color as possible.  I'm so excited to include my love for Papertrey Ink into my Jewelry Line!!

Now on for the Glass Tile Pendants using Papertrey Ink Products

Now These pendants I just finished making using the brand new Watercolor Wonder stamp set that came out during PTI's Anniversary reveal, using Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores and Ocean Tides ink.  I also used my Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pen to give the pendants a shimmer where white was showing.  I wasn't sure this was going to work, but I said why not let's try!!!
Thanks for coming by and looking!!!

Another Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop Card

Yes I doubled up!  Not sure how between work and the kids but I decided to make two cards, as I wasn't quite satisfied with this one but decided to post it anyway. This one was a bit simpler, I used Smokey Shadow and True Black card stock on the base. The True Black card stock was run through my Big Kick with an embossing folder. The centers of each square were just big enough to fit a 5 mm iridescent adhesive tile in the middle. I used  raspberry fizz grosgrain ribbon. I also die cut two scalloped heart with a new Spellbinder nested Scalloped Heart die I purchased. For the middle heart I cut it out of white and ran it through my Xyron X sticker maker and coated it with Martha Stewart Onyx glitter. The final touches was attaching DIY thickers with Martha Stewart bubblegum colored glitter, and brushing black glitter glue along the grosgrain ribbon. If you click on the image you can see the detail much better.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card!  Enjoy the rest of the Blog Hop!

Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop

It's that time of month again!!!

This month Nichole and the Papertrey Ink team decided to have the following theme for the blog hop:

To tell you the truth I haven't done very many black cards so this definitely was a challenge. I decided to create two cards. Both with a Valentine's Day theme, and this is what I came up with:

This first card I used a Pure Poppy base and computer generated verse at the bottom reading "Love never fails...." from the bible verse about love.  I then took my SU embossing folder and ran True Black cardstock inside with my Big Kick.  I then inked it up with Versamark over the embossed edges and added clear embossing powder.  (That was a chore to sweep out all the little crevices and recessed areas free from embossing powder), used my heat tool to set, and then used embossing powder again to set over the wording on the front.  I added True Black twill tape ribbon to the top, bottom and midsection of the card and brushed on stickles glitter glue in black and red.  Then I took the red glitter glue and filled in each little embossed circle. If you click on the image you can see the image detail much better. It kind of has a gothic look to it, doesn't it??

I hope you enjoyed viewing my card.  I had fun sharing!
Thanks for coming by and enjoy the rest of the blog hop!!!

Papertrey Ink: Make It Monday - A la Carte

Make It Monday A la Carte

This past Make It Monday was A la Carte style.  We got to choose which Make It Monday challenge we would like to do and I chose #54 Glitter Buttons.

I've been making glitter buttons for a long time, and never thought of it as a challenge except when I didn't have the time needed and would attempt to find a similar color button already glittered up. But alas I couldn't find what I was looking for so I ALWAYS keep a bottle of glitter glue on hand!!! LOL!

I was trying to figure out to do with all the big buttons I had hanging around since I use the little ones for accents on my cards mostly. With Christmas being here, it was the perfect opportunity to use them up and this is what I came up with:

I used the following supplies to make this card
(All from Papertrey Ink unless noted)

Sentiments from Holiday Button Bits stamp set
Scarlet Jewel Cardstock
Stampers Select White Cardstock
Dark Chocolate Cardstock
Holiday Flourishes and Swirls Patterned Paper
Nestabilities Scalloped Oval Die
Tea Stained Duo ink cubes
Colorbox Frost White Ink pad
Ripe Avocado Buttons
Scarlet Jewel Buttons
Scarlet Jewel Twill Ribbon
Studio G Diamond Glitter Glue
Studio G Green Glitter Glue
Studio G Burgundy Glitter Glue
Any paint brush

It was a lot of fun to make!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Papertrey December Blog Hop Challenge

December's Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge is here!
My goal is to participate every month to keep my creativity flowing.

Here is the challenge for this month:

So I automatically decided to whip out my embossing folders to see which one I'd like to use.  I bought several new ones this past week at Joann's and I love the Cricut Cuttlebug embossing folder designs. Especially since they now come with a coordinating border embossing folder!!!  Here's a few shots of an anniversary card I made:

Personalize Tags - a start of a new tradition for the little ones

Here's the first personalized tag I made for the little ones of my family.  I'm going to start making them for Christmas and their birthday. They will be framed so that they can hang on their walls. Something they can have for a lifetime.  I'm hoping I'm around long enough to be able to do this for their little ones.  Things have been so dang crazy with school, and now that's over so I can get back to doing what I love to do on my days off, PAPERCRAFT!!!! LOL!
