Holly Jolly Christmas Card

Hi everyone!  Been a crazy week with the holidays fast approaching coupled with the fact that I'm having to move! :(  But the good news is that we found a house about a half mile down the road and we were approved!! YAY!  So we are moving in on the 1st of January... What a way to kick off the new year, right??  The only thing I'm not looking forward to is packing right after the holiday is over, grrr!  Anyway.... here's a new card I made last night.  I'm calling it Holly Jolly Christmas.

The card size is 4 1/4" by 5 1/2"
It's it just too stinkin' cute?!?!?!?!?!?!

This is a side view so that you can grab all the detail of the card.
I used my wide glue pen and MS glitter in Sour Apple around the edge of the Quatrefoil diecut in Ripe Avocado to give the card a little bling.  In the open areas of the die cut I stamped a pointsetta from Tag It's #9 in Versamark Ink for some tone on tone contrast on the Scarlet Jewel Cardstock.

I used Matstack #3 die to cut out the center piece in Stamper's Select White. Then inked the edges of it with one of the Tea Dye Duo inks.

I stamped Santa from Holiday Button Bits in Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers. I then added a Button from the Holiday Vintage Mix container I bought recently. I glued that down with Aleen's Craft Glue since I didn't want to add any height behind the button. Then I stamped a second image of Santa out on Stampers Select White and cut out just his head.  I again colored it with Copic Markers, and even gave him a little rosiness to his cheeks! :)

I used a foam dimensional mount behind the head and lined it up with the stamped image already there making sure his beard went up and over the button belly.  I then took my glue pen and went over his long beard and sprinkled MS glitter in Sugar Cube over it to make it pop.  Then took the rolling hill stamp out of Holiday Button bits to give some depth to the background and something for Santa to stand on.  Last but not least with a hefty jolly belly like that, I couldn't resist stamping the "Holly Jolly Christmas" sentiment from the same stamp set underneath to finish it off.  Both stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Well I hope you enjoyed viewing.  I loved making it... Now to explore the Holiday Button Bits set a bit more.... Maybe the Gingerbread man next! :)

Thanks for coming! :)
